James Thompson is a Canadian industrial designer based on the west coast of sweden.

His company is at the pinnacle of its respective field, Black Badger is considered as a benchmark in the watch industry for its groundbreaking use of emerging material, in particular photoluminescents.

For this outstanding collaboration, James Thompson and MW&Co developed an insanely glowing new luminous material dubbed “Palladium Blue”.

Always seeking for atypical projects, Black Badger has collaborated with iconic independent watch brands in recent years.

A self described professional outsider, james enjoys taking established brands outside of their comfort zone and helping them discover new and original esthetics.

James first met MW&Co’s founders at Baselworld and was instantly drawn to their eclectic approach and engineered esthetic. Considering that in terms of design the ASSET model really standed out from all existing watches and after interesting initial discussions in Switzerland, James visited MW&Co at their Toulouse atelier and the ASSET Black Badger limited edition was born of those exciting meetings.

The MW&Co ASSET Black Badger is undoubtedly one of the most lume-forward watches ever made, and features innovative uses of the proprietary badgerite glow materials.

For this amazing collaboration, the ASSET leaves the race tracks and takes off to explore stellar horizons.
